The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA celebrates the cultural breadth of Africa and its diaspora via the visual, literary, and performing arts, to mitigate the effects of systemic racism to transform people and neighborhoods near and far. Using art, education, and advocacy (cultural and artistic presentations, community conversations, creative expression, and interactive learning as vehicles for social change, we give platform within our safe spaces (gallery, cafe, garden, house to “artists” whose work honor, celebrate, advance, and expand rich, intersectional conversations about the Black experience, while inviting all in to explore, engage, and thrive within our collective evolution.
