The Windsor Hum – A Mitu Expansion Work

December 12, 2025 @ 8:00 pm10:00 pm EST

The Windsor Hum is a lullaby to the secret lives of our possessions. This ongoing project by artist Monica Sanborn intersects sculpture, puppetry, and stop-motion animation. Emerging from the hums of home, compositions of handmade and found objects come to life with memory, grief, and unseen histories. The work transforms furniture, keepsakes, and forgotten fragments into fragile performers.

Join us for a screening alongside an exhibition of sculpture and ephemera created and compiled for the film. Alongside this work there will be a conversation with Monica Sanborn, moderated by Mitu Founding Artistic Director, and Dean of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Rubén Polendo.
