Join us for our annual day of discovery and creative expression featuring hands-on workshops, demonstrations, installations, and conversations with PHA Print, Ceramics, and Public Arts shops plus MGC Community Print Studio, Workspace11, and The Alpha Workshops, as well as partner organizations, artists, and educators. The Art Neighborhood, Arts Gowanus, Carriage House Paper, Firework Photo Booth Co, Fogo Azul NYC, Great Small Works, Leroy’s Place featuring DJ Fronda, Let There Be Neon, Mookntaka, Peace MFG, Textile Arts Center, Van Alen Institute, and Wonderville Projects will all be on site.
Walk away with a screenprint; bring your own shirt for a Peace MFG original; create a puppet; make paper; play with clay; design a cardboard neighborhood; learn natural dying, shibori, block printing, arcade game design, neon light creation; and much more!
This family friendly all-ages event that takes place across three floors in our purpose-built art-making facility will also include installations by PHA Staff in our Small Hall and Mooknata in our Loft. Food and beverage will be for sale in our brand-new café. The event runs from 11:00am-5:00pm (doors close at 4:30pm).
Powerhouse Arts Community Day is free and open to the public.
