The nation’s largest celebration of African diasporic dance and music returns for its 49th year with Uganda: Umoja/Mirembe/Obulungi (Unity/Peace/Beauty)!, a showcase of the nation’s vibrant dance and musical cultural traditions. This year’s program features Uganda’s Ndere Troupe alongside Asase Yaa African American Dance Theater, the DanceAfrica Spirit Walkers, and The Billie’s Youth Arts Academy Dance Ensemble. This year’s DanceAfrica performances promise to enthrall, immerse, and inspire.
